Barbara Harrison

Barbara June Harrison, 51, of Boden, IL, died suddenly on Saturday, June 16, 2012, after a short illness at St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg, IL.

Visitation is Thursday, June 21, 2012, from 4:00  to 8:00  p.m. at Dennison Funeral Home, Viola, IL.  Following visitation, cremation rites will be accorded.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left for the family.

Barbara was born on January 22, 1961, to Bob and June Jones Harrison (formerly of Alexis, Ill.).  Barb was a graduate of Winola High School and received a diploma from business college.  She was a bartender at City Limits, Viola, for 13 years and manager for a couple more years.  Most recently, she was a cook for Sheppard Street Restaurant and Creamery in Viola.  She loved her friends and family.  She was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed working in her flower beds.

Barbara is survived by her sister and friend, Judy (Galen Filler) Maynard, Matherville, two brothers, Fay C. (Cecelia) Harrison and Kieth (Vicki) Harrison, Viola; sisters-in-law, Barb E. Harrison and Theresa Harrison, rural Viola; her special friend and partner, Randy Fontenoy, Boden; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Darrel and Gordon Harrison, her niece, Tammy Harrison, and nephew, Jerrod Harrison.
