Troy Adams, 52, of Matherville, Illinois unexpectedly passed away while fishing in Manchester, Iowa.
Cremation has been accorded. Visitation is Friday, November 12th from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Dennison Funeral Home, Viola. A memorial service is Saturday, November 13th at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be left for a fund benefitting his granddaughter, Quinn.
Troy was born May 31, 1969 in Moline, Illinois the son of Ken and Pam Lindley Adams. The 1987 graduate of Sherrard High School went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts from Western Illinois University. Troy served in the Army National Guard for 6 years. He worked as a John Deere Equipment Salesman for Martin Equipment, Aledo. Troy was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hiking usually with his dog by his side. Fly fishing was his passion, often making his own flies. In high school, Troy was a stand-out athlete and as an adult he enjoyed running the Bix. He was a member of Matherville Fraternal Order of Eagles. His greatest joy was time spent with family, especially with his children and granddaughter.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter: Molly Adams (Alex Carson); granddaughter: Quinn Carson; parents: Ken and Pam Adams; sisters as well as nieces and nephews: Tracy Adams and her children, Ellie Bealer and Korbin Benedict, and Terry (Jeff) Oakley and her children, Maya and Kaleb Oakley.
He was preceded in death by his son: Andrew Adams.
