Donnie Carle

Donald “Donnie” E. Carle, 63, of Keithsburg, Illinois died March 8, 2022 at Genesis Medical Center, Aledo.

Per his wishes, he will be cremated. A memorial service will be 11am Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Keithsburg First Christian Church. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service time. Memorials may be made to the family. Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo is handling arrangements.

Donnie was born June 2, 1958 the son of William Carle Sr. and Barbara Shoemaker Gaylor. He married Nila Janes on September 7, 1976 in Kahoka, MO. Donnie worked as a carpenter and a roofer. He became disabled in 1987 and continued to help family and friends with any work they needed done all while battling cancer for the last 7 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, playing darts, collecting marbles, playing chess, and watching WWE. He especially loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Nila; mother Barbara Gaylor; children Misty Claeys, Joshua Carle, Heidi Carle, Devon (Alberto) Gomez, Corrie (Jenna) Cummings, Christopher Rowland, and Travis (Megan) Willits; god daughter Cheyenne Armentrout; 17 grandchildren; siblings William (Mary) Carle, Darlene Bates, Dani (Rick) Janes, Michael Keith, Richard Carle, Michael Carle, and a brother in law Tom Franklin.

Donnie was preceded in death by his father; sister Lucinda Franklin, best friend William Armentrout, son Jesse Bullock, and 2 grandsons.
