Dear Families of Mercer County:
This is a troubling time we are living through in our world. We would like to update you on our response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
We are actively monitoring the situation and taking all recommendations from all national, state and local authorities.
As of June 22, 2020
***Per mandates and/or information received from the State of Illinois Governor and Dept. of Public Health as well as CDC***
First of all... as always, we are here to serve our community 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. We are your neighbors and friends. We live and work in our community and we take the impact of this pandemic seriously.
Effective Immediately- Dennison Funeral Homes will be adhering to the guidelines for funeral services regarding COVID-19.
Illinois moved to Phase 4 on June 26, 2020. Here is what that means to Dennison Funeral Homes and the families we serve.
We can now offer visitations allowing 50 persons (including staff) at a time in the building. Our staff will manage capacity limits, as needed. We will also make extra efforts to sanitize common areas and highly touched surfaces. Hand sanitizer will be readily available to the public.
Masks are recommended by all families and quests attending visitations.
Social distancing will be required while waiting in line at visitation.
Funeral services (held within a building) will still be private family services but, will now be open to 50 people (including staff) in the building. Social distancing guidelines will be in effect.
Families should still practice social distancing in funeral home, churches and cemeteries. If you are not feeling well or are vulnerable...DO NOT ATTEND.
We appreciate your patience as we navigate the changes issued by the state and local agencies.
As always, we are here for you... if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us. We are all in this together. Let's keep our wonderful community safe and healthy!
